The Student Holds screen displays business and academic holds that have been placed on your selected students. Academic Alerts are set through the Student Status form while Business Holds are created through the Student Holds form. When a student with a hold of any kind has been selected, an alert notice precedes the viewing of any CAMS record.
The CAMS Manager controls user viewing access to hold reasons through user account definition in the CAMS User List entry form. A user might have access to view reasons for all holds, view only the active hold reason, or view none. In cases where student workers may be accessing student records, their access rights might be restricted, thus preventing them from viewing confidential information.
User access also determines whether or not a user may go beyond the hold to continue working with the student's record.
