Billing Statement Options and Formats
CAMS provides a variety of billing statement options and formats to
generate billing statements for student,
contacts, and faculty. Statement options are selected in the Select Options field in the Options
tab of the Billing Statement Options window. Statement Formats are
selected in the Statement Format
field in the Options table of the Billing Statement Options window.
Statement Options:
Monthly Statement (Standard
report format only):
- Includes all students meeting
any of the following criteria:
- Student has non-zero balance
- Student has transactions
in the designated date range - batch transactions included when
"Ledger and Batch" is selected for Statement Source
- Student has a previous
balance
- Allows batch transactions
to be included, as well as pending awards.
- Pending awards are not
included in evaluating student criteria (balance) but will show up
as pending on the statement. This would allow some students
to appear on the statement with a pending credit balance, but since
the awards are not in billing, we exclude these transactions from
the balance criteria.
Collection Statement (Standard
report format only):
- Includes
all students with a debit balance in the ledger.
- Does
not allow batch transactions in balance calculations or in providing
detail transactions in the statement.
- Detail
transactions for the student are derived by taking the maximum transaction
date per student and a date 30 days prior to that date.
- Does
not allow pending awards to be included in the report.
- Allows
transactions to be sorted by AR Type
Note:In order for Monthly and Collection statements to work,
you MUST update the rptBillingtReportsStatements.ssi to use ONLY the optimized
Standard statement released on or after 11/18/2005.
